Gathering Information
![]()
The next step is to find information that will help you make up your mind. There are lots of places to look. Books are one of the best places. Your classroom may have a collection of books on the planets.
Another place to look is in an electronic encyclopedia like World Book. You are sure to find lots of information about the planets there. Unfortunately you may feel swamped by everything there is to know about those planets, and much of it won't help you answer your question of which planet to visit!
You'll need a search strategy to find only the information that will help you make up your mind.
Look at your categories and little questions in your table. What words separated by "and" would get you closest to the information you need? Think like an encyclopedia too. What words or phrases would the encyclopedia use?
Open up World Book and your table. Using your little questions to guide you, begin searching for information to help you make up your mind.
Move on after using World Book
