The Richness of the Resources

What did Bellingham look like 100 years ago? You might be surprised to learn about our area and how it has changed.
When the first white settlers came to this area, they found abundant natural resources. The land was rich with huge trees, the water teaming with salmon and other sealife. They found open land waiting to be farmed. And most of all, they found beauty in the tall snow capped mountains and the never ending green of the plant life. The settlers were astonished with what they found.
