First Whatcom High School Central School buildings on Seventeenth street (Dupont) between I and J streets. The structure to the right was started in 1884, the second one in 1889 for grade schools. Later they became the Whatcom High School buildings. Roeder Administration Building is on this site today. |

Lincoln School Lincoln School was built in 1891. It was located on the present site of Shuksan Convalescent Center on James Street. The property was traded for district's Gordon L. Carter Environmental Education Site on the south end of Lake Whatcom. |
Columbia School The original Columbia School was built in 1890. A second building was built adjacent to it in 1925, which is the main building of the school today. The original structure was demolished in 1929. |

Fairhaven High School Fairhaven High School was built in 1903, and an addition put on in 1920. The original building was destroyed by fire, January 1, 1936. |
Eureka School The Eureka Grade School, located between Alabama and Texas streets at Woburn Street was built in 1902. The building was enlarged in 1907 and the name was changed in 1927 to Roosevelt to honor former president Theodore Roosevelt. The new Roosevelt School is on Yew Street. |
