Sehome in 1885
This photo was taken looking north on State Street from a spot near the old armory. The road leading to the left
is the road leading to the waterfront. At the extreme left of the picture, overhanging the bluff, is the first
schoolhouse on the bay. The pile of stones to the left of the center is the debris from the Sehome mine. The surfaced
road winding through the left of the picture is a plank road. The second building from the end is the Morse Hardware
Co.
